  • 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves (or 1 tea bag)
  • 1012 mint leaves (plus for garnishing)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup apple juice (or apple-flavored soda)
  • 2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • Ice cubes (as required)

Instructions

  1. Brew the Tea: In a medium saucepan, combine water, tea leaves, mint leaves, and sugar. Heat over medium-high until boiling, then reduce heat to low and simmer for one minute.
  2. Strain and Cool: Remove from heat and strain the mixture using a tea strainer into a measuring cup or pitcher. Let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  3. Prepare Glasses: Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes and add 4-5 mint leaves to each glass.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Pour ½ cup of apple juice into each glass followed by ½ cup of brewed tea.
  5. Finish & Serve: Add 1 teaspoon of lime juice into each glass, stir quickly, and garnish with apple slices and lemon wedges before serving.
