  • 8 mini croissants
  • 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese (or regular cheddar)
  • ¾ pound deli-cut chicken
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg white
  • Poppy seeds (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, yellow mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce; whisk until smooth.
  3. Slice each mini croissant in half lengthwise and spread the butter mixture on each half.
  4. Place half a slice of cheese on each bottom half, followed by a generous amount of chicken.
  5. Top each with the other half of the croissant.
  6. Whisk the egg white until frothy and brush it over the tops of the croissants; sprinkle poppy seeds on top.
  7. Bake for about 18 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
