  • 6 day-old croissants
  • 1 cup chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk (or almond milk)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped hazelnuts (lightly toasted)
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Tear the croissants into pieces and layer half in the baking dish.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the custard mixture over the croissants. Top with half of the chocolate hazelnut spread and half of the chopped hazelnuts.
  5. Repeat layering with the remaining croissants, more chocolate hazelnut spread, and pour any leftover custard on top.
  6. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown and set.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with powdered sugar or fresh berries.
