  • 1 box devil's food cake mix
  • 2 cups peanut butter (divided)
  • 1 cup chopped peanut butter candies
  • 1 cup peanut butter candy pieces
  • 10 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9"x13" baking pan with parchment paper and grease it.
  2. Prepare the devil's food cake batter according to the package instructions, pour it into the prepared pan, and bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow it to cool completely.
  3. Once cooled, poke holes all over the cake with the back of a wooden spoon, then pour melted peanut butter over it, ensuring each hole is filled.
  4. For the frosting, beat softened butter and remaining peanut butter together until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, salt, and heavy cream until fluffy.
  5. Spread the frosting evenly over the cooled cake and top with chopped candies and pieces.
