  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup dry white apple vinegar
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter (divided)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • Flour (for dredging)

Instructions

  1. Cut chicken breasts lengthwise into four thinner pieces. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, then coat in flour.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown; set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and sliced mushrooms with Italian seasoning; cook until moisture evaporates (5-6 minutes).
  4. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant. Add white apple vinegar and reduce by half (2-3 minutes).
  5. Pour in heavy cream and return chicken to the pan; simmer until cooked through and sauce thickens slightly (about 5 minutes). Adjust seasoning if needed.
