Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp cornflour (cornstarch)
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 110 g (1/3 cup) honey
  • 80 ml (1/3 cup) chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • Vegetable oil and unsalted butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, coat chicken thighs with cornflour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add chicken and cook until golden brown on one side (4-5 minutes), then flip and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add butter and garlic; reduce heat to medium to avoid burning the garlic.
  5. In another bowl, mix honey, chicken stock, rice vinegar, and soy sauce.
  6. Pour sauce into the pan with chicken; increase heat to boil and simmer for about 4-5 minutes until thickened.
  7. Serve hot over boiled rice, garnished with parsley and chili flakes.
