  • 3 Pounds Beef Stew Meat (or Lamb)
  • 1/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 4 Cups Beef Broth
  • 5 Carrots (peeled and cut into chunks)
  • 1 Cup Frozen Peas
  • 2 Bay Leaves

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  2. In a large Ziploc bag, combine beef, flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, and thyme. Shake to coat the meat.
  3. Sear the coated meat in hot oil until browned on all sides.
  4. Gradually stir in beef broth, ensuring all ingredients are combined.
  5. Add carrots and bay leaves; bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes.
  7. Five minutes before serving, add frozen peas.
  8. Remove bay leaves before serving alongside creamy mashed potatoes.
