  • 23 habanero peppers (stemmed & seeded)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup honey (or maple syrup for vegan)
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and habaneros; sauté until fragrant (1–2 minutes).
  2. Transfer the mix to a blender along with diced mangoes, honey (or maple syrup), apple cider vinegar, soy sauce (or coconut aminos), and water. Blend until smooth.
  3. Return the blended sauce to the saucepan and simmer on medium-low heat for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.
  4. Taste the sauce; adjust sweetness or tanginess by adding more honey or vinegar as desired.
  5. Allow cooling before transferring to jars; store in the refrigerator for up to 7–10 days.
