  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • For the glaze: 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, eggs, milk, breadcrumbs, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, ketchup (for glaze), Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce; heat until smooth.
  5. Spoon half of the glaze over the meatloaf and bake for 40 minutes.
  6. Add the remaining glaze and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Let rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
