  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan (for topping)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meat sauce by browning ground beef in a large skillet. Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until soft. Stir in marinara sauce and seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the Parmesan garlic béchamel by melting butter in a saucepan, whisking in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk and stir until thickened. Mix in grated Parmesan and season.
  3. Assemble layers in a baking dish: start with meat sauce, then noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar cheese. Repeat layers and finish with cheese on top.
