  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 68 slices thick sandwich bread (white or sourdough)
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 cups brown gravy (homemade or store-bought)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the chuck roast with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the roast on all sides for about 3–4 minutes.
  3. Transfer the seared roast to the slow cooker and pour in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Cook on low for about 8 hours or high for 4–5 hours until fork-tender.
