  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cup finely diced red bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons diced green onion
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 2 strips cooked turkey bacon (cut in half)
  • Buns (toasted)
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil (or oil of your choice)
  • mayo
  • sriracha
  • red onion (sliced)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, red bell pepper, green onion, smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and roll into balls.
  3. Preheat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the chicken balls in the skillet and smash each one down into patties using a spatula.
  4. Cook for about 4-5 minutes before flipping. Add cheese slices on top, cover with a lid, and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until melted.
  5. Assemble the burgers by spreading mayo and sriracha on toasted buns. Place patties topped with turkey bacon and red onion between the buns.
