  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt (for frosting)
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar (for frosting)
  • 12 Golden sandwich cookies (like Golden Oreos), cream filling removed (for crunch topping)
  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, lightly crushed (for crunch topping)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled (for crunch topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round baking pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in egg whites, whole egg, milk, gelatin powder, and vanilla until combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
