  • 4 cups mixed berries (raspberries, blackberries, blueberries)
  • 14 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 eggs (at room temperature)
  • 2 cups half and half (at room temperature)
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (sifted)
  • 1 ½ tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Spread cubed croissants on a baking sheet and toast for 7-10 minutes until golden brown; set aside to cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then mix in eggs, half and half, lemon juice, zest, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. In a greased 9×13 baking dish, layer half of the toasted croissants followed by half of the mixed berries and half of the custard mixture. Repeat layers.
  5. Press down gently and refrigerate overnight.
  6. Bake covered for 30 minutes; uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes until set.
  7. While baking, prepare the lemon glaze by blending cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla until smooth.
  8. Serve warm with optional toppings like fresh berries or powdered sugar.
